Sewer Department:

1. Administrative Assistant


Under general supervision and in accordance with stated priorities and established District standards and procedures, performs and/or assists with all aspects of departmental administrative activities.  On an “as needed” basis, provides assistance to the Technical Services Section. This position reports to the Technical Services Supervisor or in their absence the Operations Supervisor.


Performs a variety of office duties to include but not limited to the issuing of permits, responding to customer complaints, issuing emergency locates or work orders, answering questions regarding procedures/resolutions and construction specifications, answering phones, filing, copying, faxing and preparing customer correspondence, and processing all paperwork (i.e. SSO Reports, Daily Production Logs, Generating/Updating SOPs, Weekly Reports, etc.) as necessary all while maintaining a safe and orderly workplace. Responsible for the processing of payables and receivables in accordance with established procedures and policies.

Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to operate various types of office equipment including but not limited to computers, printers, facsimile machines, various types of drafting and related equipment including drafting tools and surveying equipment such as data collectors and GPS units, telephones, radios, district vehicles, notebooks/laptops, various software programs such as Microsoft Office (word, excel, access, power point, outlook) GBA, GIS, etc. Must be physically able to exert up to fifty pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.  Physical demands are in excess of sedentary work; work involves standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, reaching, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, etc.  Must be able to lift and/or carry weights over one hundred pounds.

2. I&I Technician         


Under general supervision, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled general maintenance and related activities in the area of sanitary sewer system monitoring.  Provides and/or assists in the providing of all closed circuit televising of sewer collection lines and services; monitoring of wastewater flows in pipes and area rainfall using computerized electronic devices for analysis and planning; locates and identifies system infrastructure for mapping, inventory and marking for other contractors.  Reports to the SMC/LCC/REHAB Supervisor or in their absence to the Assistant Superintendent and/or WWCS Superintendent.


3. Rehab Coordinator                                                                          


Under general supervision performs routine Rehabilitation Project technical and engineering duties in field survey, data acquisition, computer data entry, request processing, and report preparation.  Responds to public questions concerning District Rehab operations and projects. Issues connection permits and assists with general office tasks when needed. Investigates and tracks complaints through resolution. This position reports to the Operations Manager and in their absence the Wastewater Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent.
